Computer-Animals are an artificial race of mobile super-computers that fulfill many practical and superficial roles in modern society. Released in 2005 by the Vice Engineering Mega-Conglomerate, they have since become a staple of every home and business. They are entirely synthetic, save for the nerve and epidermal tissue laced within their circuitry. The function of which allow crucial meta-beings to interact with their nested interface. Precaution has been made to insure Computer-Animals are not sentient.
The exterior of Computer-Animals is made with thick, unified sheets of carbon fiber. Which thermoregulates the creature while providing the sensation of touch. The internals resemble a biological animal, complete with: an alloy skeleton, hydraulic muscles, gut-like circuitry, all suspended in a viscous fluid called BotBlood. The mask of the creature acts as the display and user interface. This unconventional way of computation makes Computer-Animals incredible resilient, but also makes third party repair and modification nearly impossible. However, alternative models are constantly being released. It also includes: an HD holographic projector, five micro USBs, a charging station, and a six year extended warranty.
The uncanny resemblance to animals is intentional. It is not only for customer comfort, but to insure the meta-beings it houses remain ignorant to the artificial nature of their vessel. As of now, the most popular Computer-Animal model resembles a goat with four horns. It is used as a substitute in sacrifices.
